Get Comfortable With ‘Cozy Cardio’
The social media trend is ideally suited for end-buyers in the health and wellness space.
It can be hard to start a fitness routine, particularly for newbies and those who have had less-than-stellar workout experiences in the past. Now, say hello to ‘Cozy Cardio,’ a recent TikTok trend featuring a gentler, home-based way to work out.
The movement’s been popularized in recent months by TikTok creator Hope Zuckerbrow, who started sharing her early morning workouts that often feature a lighted candle, iced coffee with protein, walking pad, comfortable clothes and a streaming show in the background.
“I realized I needed to heal my relationship with exercise,” Zuckerbrow told CNN. “Exercise wasn’t fun anymore, and I was only moving to lose weight, not to feel good or be healthy. I wanted to spark joy when it came to movement.”
While health professionals say gentle walking should ideally lead to more intensive exercise over time for maximum benefit, it’s ideal for easing people into building fitness into their days.
Here are six end-buyer industries that are primed for using branded fitness items to encourage patients and clients to make movement a daily habit.
1. Doctors’ Offices
Primary care physicians looking to encourage regular fitness can give out soothing items for patients’ homes.
2. Corporate Wellness Programs
Employers with wellness programs will want garments like unisex workout tops with a logo and inspirational message for employees to use at home.
3. Gyms & Fitness Studios
Recommend that facilities help inactive members restart workout routines – and hopefully return to in-person fitness in time – by mailing gifts to their homes.
4. College Health Centers
Suggest to campus health professionals that they inspire more regular exercise among students with lifestyle items like drinkware.
5. Therapists
Mental health professionals can promote all-around wellness with a seed planter kit featuring an inspirational message – perfect for decorating a home workout space.
6. Dieticians
Pitch tea accessories – pots, mugs and infusers – to nutrition professionals who want to promote improved dietary habits.
